Salil Chawla, Director of DFU Publications, covered the Bharat Tex 2026 launch today, featuring excerpts from Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
We have successfully concluded the last two editions, and I am delighted to announce the next edition of the event.
At the outset, I extend my deepest gratitude to our Honourable Minister of Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh, whose practical leadership and unwavering support have been instrumental in taking this initiative forward. Under his guidance, we are not merely showcasing India’s manufacturing strength across the entire textile value chain, but also deepening global trade linkages, unlocking unprecedented investment opportunities, igniting product-driven innovation, and fostering enduring international partnerships. Together, we are propelling our sector to new heights.
Friends, as we all know, the Indian economy is entering an exciting phase. With a new era of Free Trade Agreements being signed with several major economies across the world, the Indian textile sector is poised to emerge as one of the biggest beneficiaries of these developments.
In this context, Bharat Tex has become an even more important platform for the global industry to witness the strength and potential of India’s textile ecosystem.
The upcoming edition of Bharat Tex 2026 will be held from 14th to 17th July 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
This edition aims to further strengthen India’s position as a global hub for textiles, sustainability, and innovation.
The venue will be spread across nearly 160,000 square metres, featuring more than 20,000 curated displays. The event is expected to bring together global brands, retailers, policy makers, industry leaders, suppliers, CXOs, designers, artisans, investors, entrepreneurs, and technology providers to explore opportunities in trade, investment, smart manufacturing, and cross-sector collaboration.
The event aims to host over 3,500 exhibitors, more than 7,000 international buyers from over 140 countries, and a visitor turnout expected to exceed 1,20,000.
The evolution of Bharat Tex over the last two editions has been remarkable. The platform was conceptualised as a mother platform for the Indian textile sector, bringing together the entire ecosystem under one umbrella. It was launched in 2024, and since then the response has been overwhelming.
The second edition of Bharat Tex in 2025, held at Bharat Mandapam and the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, significantly scaled up the platform. Spread across nearly 2.2 million square feet, it brought together more than 5,000 exhibitors, over 6,000 international buyers from more than 120 countries, and welcomed over 1,20,000 visitors.
With the momentum now building for the third edition of Bharat Tex, and its forward-looking agenda we only see this event getting greater attention and recognition at global level.
