Salil Chawla, Director of DFU Publications, covered the Bharat Tex 2026 launch today, featuring excerpts from Bhadresh Dodhia, Co-Chairman, Bharat Tex 2026.
We have successfully concluded the last two editions, and I am happy to announce the next event.
Bharat Tex 2026 is a global textile event organized by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF), comprising of the leading textile Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and associations, and supported the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
I extend my deepest gratitude to our Honourable Minister of Textile, Shri Giriraj ji, for his persistent knowledge and unwavering commitment. Sir, thank you, and we keep having your aashirvaad on this.
Under his leadership, we are not just showcasing India's manufacturing progress across the entire country but deepening global trade linkages, unlocking unprecedented investment flows, igniting path-breaking innovation, and forging enduring international partnerships that will propel our sector to new heights.
Friends, as we all know, we are into an exciting phase of the Indian economy, with the new era of FTAs being signed with various countries—even bigger economies than India. Indian textiles are poised to be the undoubted crown winner of this outcome. So, Bharat Tex today has become even more important for the textile industry to showcase what India stands for.
The upcoming edition of Bharat Tex 2026 is scheduled from 14th to 17th July 2026—I repeat, 14th to 17th July 2026—at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This aims to further strengthen India's position as a global hub for textile sustainability and innovation.
The venue is spread across 1,60,000 square meters with 20,000 plus curated displays. The event is expected to witness global brands, retailers, leaders, suppliers, CXOs, designers, artisans, investors, entrepreneurs, and tech providers for trade, investment, smart manufacturing, and cross-sector innovation. This event aims to host 3,500 plus exhibitors, over 7,000 international buyers from 140 plus countries, and visitor turnout exceeding 1,30,000.
The Remarkable Evolution of Bharat Tex
The evolution of Bharat Tex over the last two editions has been remarkable. The platform was conceptualized as a mother platform for Indian textiles, bringing together the entire ecosystem under one umbrella, which was launched in 2024. Since then, the last edition has been a resounding success.
The second edition of Bharat Tex, held in 2025 at Bharat Mandapam and India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, significantly scaled up this platform, spread across nearly 2.2 million square feet. It brought more than 5,000 exhibitors, 6,000 plus international buyers from over 120 countries, and we welcomed over 1,20,000 plus visitors.
