This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the Ministry of Textiles, under the leadership of the Hon’ble Union Minister for Textiles, along with the Secretary, Additional Secretary, and the entire Ministry team. I would also like to acknowledge the guidance of the Core Committee. As everyone knows, Bharat Tex is a collaborative initiative of all 11 Textile Export Promotion Councils, along with the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) and the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI). Together, we have worked collectively to make this event a reality.
A special word of appreciation is due to our state partners and industry sponsors who believed in our vision and stood firmly behind us in organising one of the world’s largest textile events. I would especially like to acknowledge our industry partners—Trident Group, Vardhman Textiles, PTS, ColorJet Group, Shahi, RSWM Limited, and Arvind. These organisations have demonstrated their faith not only in Bharat Tex but also in the strength and future of the Indian textile industry. As industry leaders and champions of Indian textiles, they have played a significant role in making this event possible.
Bharat Tex is much more than a conventional trade exhibition. This year, more than 11 states are participating, with state governments themselves joining the platform to engage directly with the textile and apparel ecosystem. Over the coming days, policymakers, industry leaders, investors, manufacturers, exporters, and entrepreneurs will interact, exchange ideas, and work towards policies and initiatives that further strengthen India’s textile sector.
We are proud to have Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Gujarat as our principal state partners. Our supporting state partners include Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, while Tamil Nadu joins us as the Knowledge State Partner. In addition, several other states are participating as exhibitors, showcasing their industrial capabilities and investment opportunities.
For every visitor, Bharat Tex offers a truly comprehensive experience. Under one roof, participants can meet suppliers, buyers, policymakers, state governments, technology providers, and global brands, while also benefiting from knowledge sessions, masterclasses, conferences, and business networking opportunities. It is one of the few textile exhibitions globally that brings together the complete textile value chain in a single, integrated platform.
This vision is inspired by the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who has consistently encouraged the creation of an ecosystem where, instead of Indian exporters travelling across the world to showcase their products, the world comes to India to witness the country’s vibrant textile heritage, manufacturing excellence, innovation, and capabilities.
Another important feature of Bharat Tex is the participation of textile clusters from across the country, including Tiruppur, Ichalkaranji, and Anthiyur, among others. These cluster pavilions are not merely exhibition spaces; they are platforms to encourage and nurture first-time exporters. The objective is to provide them with exposure to international buyers and guide them through every stage of the export journey—from customer acquisition and documentation to compliance and export procedures. One of AEPC’s key priorities is to create more successful exporters and broaden India’s export base.
A remarkable example of this vision was witnessed during the previous edition of Bharat Tex. The Ichalkaranji Pavilion, which was visited by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, featured 16 companies exhibiting for the very first time. Many of these enterprises had never exported before. Collectively, these first-time participants secured export orders worth approximately ₹45 crore during the event. This success story reflects the true strength of the Bharat Tex platform and its ability to transform businesses by connecting them with global opportunities.
Bharat Tex is not just an exhibition—it is a movement driven by collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to positioning India as a global textile leader.
With these words, I warmly welcome all of you to Bharat Tex 2026. We invite you to experience this vibrant platform, explore new opportunities, build meaningful partnerships, and continue supporting India’s remarkable textile growth story.
