Bharat 2025
The Bharat Tex Roadshow at Hotel Westin, Kolkata, on 20 November 2024, marked a significant milestone in promoting Bharat Tex 2024.
Giriraj Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles, Government of India, graced the event. The roadshow, one of the largest in the series, attracted over 350 attendees from various segments of the textile industry.
Many exporters received the event well to make it a success.

In response, initiatives like the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Global Fashion Agenda, and Fashion Pact promote sustainability. Circular fashion is gaining traction, with brands collaborating with suppliers for more circular operations.
Fostering Responsible Business Practices in the Textile & Apparel Sector.
As part of its B+HR Global programme, with support from the Government of Japan, UNDP is working with the private sector to build capacities of companies, their suppliers, and partners in India on facilitating uptake of responsible business actions throughout business models and value chain, across various sectors/industries.
