It's my pleasure to introduce and thank you, Honorable Minister Sir, for inviting me. I also extend warm greetings to our colleague Rohitji, the captains and members of the industry, representatives from various organizations, and friends from across India.

Bharat Tex 2026 Set to Elevate India’s Global Textile Leadership

We have successfully concluded the last two editions, and I am delighted to announce the next edition of the event.

At the outset, I extend my deepest gratitude to our Honourable Minister of Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh, whose practical leadership and unwavering support have been instrumental in taking this initiative forward.

Bharat Tex 2026 is excited to inform you about the upcoming BHARAT TEX 2026, world’s largest integrated textile event, organized by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF), comprising of the leading textile Indian Export Promotion Councils (EPCs), CMAI and CITI, and supported by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. This global-scale textile trade fair is scheduled from 14th to 17th July 2026 at the Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Over 3,500 exhibitors, 7,000+ international buyers from 130+ countries and upwards of 130,000 visitors are expected to participate in the event.

Decarbonization in Indian Textiles: Engineered, Not Aspirational

In the Indian textile sector, decarbonization cannot be a one-line commitment in an annual report. It has to be engineered.

After building a credible GHG baseline, the real work begins: developing a strategic decarbonization roadmap aligned with operational realities, cost structures, and regulatory expectations.

Because in textiles, emissions hotspots are not abstract.
