Webinar on Buyer VS Supplier Interaction on Vortex Spinning Technology: Buyer vs Supplier Perspectives on Vortex Spinning Technology

The Texcoms Worldwide webinar brought together two seasoned voices of the textile industry: Mr. Piyush Chandarana, representing buyers, and Mr. Devadas Damodaraswamy, representing suppliers. Their dialogue highlighted how Vortex Spinning is reshaping textile production, performance, and sustainability.

From the buyer’s lens, Chandarana emphasized that global apparel buyers demand better quality, higher productivity, greater sustainability, and improved profitability. With China investing aggressively in vortex technology, buyers are keen to understand whether it truly delivers beyond technical novelty. Key questions revolve around whether vortex yarns reduce pilling, lint, and customer complaints, while also offering cost and productivity benefits.

Texprocil webinar: UKMarket Entry for Indian Home Textile Exporters
Beyond Tariffs: Winning the UK and European Home Textile Buyer in 2026

The UK and European home textile markets are undergoing a significant transformation, creating fresh opportunities for Indian exporters. While discussions around Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and tariff reductions often dominate industry conversations, successful market entry today depends on far more than pricing advantages.

The combined home textile market across key European economies and the UK represents a substantial business opportunity. However, buyers are becoming increasingly selective, seeking suppliers who can offer reliability, sustainability, innovation, and category expertise alongside competitive pricing.

Why Corporate Fashion & Uniforms Will Lead Sustainability Adoption Faster Than Retail

The modern age is dominated by conversations and trends which shift in a heartbeat. As a result, fast fashion continues to conquer retail shelves, as brands introduce endless collections in tune with seasons at the same time making sure the collections are influencer- approved, relevant as per social media buzz and western influences.

While sustainability has been a growing trend across the fashion industry, its adoption by massive retailers remains uncertain owing to the hyper-dynamic nature of the industry. At the same time, there remains a massive opportunity for sustainability to pave its way into the corporate fashion and uniform space. Even though there has been some progress in this direction, the scale of accelerating uptake can help present a significant breakthrough in solidifying this shift as a mainstream reality and in spotlighting India at the forefront of the sustainable apparel paradigm.

Cradle to Cradle®: Paving the Way to Sustainable Textiles
By Salil Chawla Content Strategist, DFU Publications

Ms. Nienke Steen, Director of Consumer Products and Textiles at the Cradle to Cradle® Product Innovation Institute, delivered a compelling presentation during today’s live webinar on “Cradle to Cradle® – Paving a Way to Sustainable Textiles.” Her message was clear: eliminating hazardous chemicals from textiles is not optional—it’s essential.

“Why are we still using hazardous chemicals in products we wear, consume, and put on our skin?” Steen asked. “Especially for children and older people, it could be super harmful. Let’s create a standard to eliminate them.”

Natural Fibers Driving Circular Innovation
It is of important value because we believe nature offers solutions that central systems cannot replicate. In this program, we have begun interventions for alternate natural bodies, picking up ten beautiful fibers from across the world: Pima, Pineapple, Banana, Bamboo, Bramble, Flax, Milkweed, Hemp, and more.

These fibers are not only sustainable but also high‑performance — Milkweed, for instance, has exceptional thermal flow, warmer than synthetic fillings, and at times even better than down. Hemp and other fibers promise significant resources, strengthening our material base.
