Textile: WASTE BECOMES WEALTH!

India's handloom capital, Panipat, isn't just weaving traditional textiles anymore—it's leading a global revolution in textile recycling! 🇮🇳

We are witnessing an incredible success story where discarded clothes are transformed into high-quality yarn, all without harming the planet.

THE STUNNING NUMBERS:
30 Lakh KG of yarn produced DAILY from textile waste.
The entire process uses ZERO DYES. The original colors are simply sorted and re-spun!
It requires ZERO WATER WASTE—a massive leap forward in sustainable manufacturing.

TechnicalTextiles

India’s textile sector is witnessing a significant shift from traditional to technical textiles, driven by innovation and diverse industrial applications. Technical textiles, engineered for performance rather than mere aesthetics, span industries such as automotive, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure. They are increasingly prized for their durability, functional properties, and value addition—for example, UV-resistant crop covers, antimicrobial activewear, and advanced filtration media.

Government initiatives, notably the National Technical Textiles Mission, support R&D, market development, and skill training, positioning India among the world’s top five technical textile markets.

Traditional textiles, on the other hand, remain vital for their rich cultural heritage, artisanal techniques, and immense employment generation. They showcase India’s mastery in handcrafted silks, cottons, and regional crafts, sustaining export markets and rural livelihoods.
